STA, a driving force behind 9 joint R&D proposals in the context of Smart Transportation Infrastructures

Last 25 March 2015, STA organised a member-only meeting to review the progress made in the joint building of 9 innovative proposals in the context of Smart Transportation Infrastructures, aimed at the next rounds of European and international R&D calls. The meeting served to discuss the work plan of each of the 9 ground-breaking initiatives, which involve all STA members amongst their consortia partners.

Mr Wolf Peter Zeplin, Chair of STA TC2 (Smart Safety & Security) participated in the 6th Pan-Hellenic Road Safety Conference, which gathered 200 participants in Athens (Greece) last 12-13 March 2015.
His keynote speech addressed the state of deployment of the European norm for vehicle restraint systems EN-1317, and in addition highlighted the need of updating it taking into consideration the new generation of vehicles in use.
