STA WORK PLAN 2022 FOCUSED ON INFRASTRUCTURE ADAPTATION TO THE NEW MOBILITY

The Smart Transportation Alliance (STA) held its first General Meeting of 2022 on 03 February 2022. The gathering was kicked off by reviewing the achievements and biggest milestones of the past year, including the start of a new research project (SCALE-UP), the re-issue of STA Certified Training Courses and new conference partnerships.

For the upcoming year, and aside the ongoing workings on roadside safety, it was decided that the 2022 STA Annual Conference will focus on the adaptation of transport infrastructures to new mobility paradigms, including sub-topics such as reliable vehicle charging, safe segregated infrastructures, infrastructure digitization, increasing shares of vulnerable travelers, sensors or pay-per-use schemes.

All members of the Management Committe were re-elected (find an overview over its members here), including Mr. José F. Papí (President & Secretary General), Mrs. Elena De La Peña (Vice-President, Secretary and Chair of TC 1 (Smart Mobility)) and Mr. Wolf Peter Zeplin (Vice-President, Treasurer and Chair of TC 2 (Smart Safety & Security)).

STA is looking forward to another year filled with partnerships, experiences and new activities.
