The latest edition of the STA Expert Perception Tracker invites transport professionals to share their views on some of the developments shaping the future of transport infrastructure operations.

The 4/2026 edition focuses on operations and connectivity, exploring how the condition and maintenance of infrastructures affect access to reliable transport services, the potential of AI-enabled systems to improve transport operations, whether AI-based safety and resilience solutions are ready for wider use.

Through a short, 1-minute survey, transport professionals can share their experience and perspectives on these key issues.

The responses will be analysed and presented in a short report, providing a snapshot of expert perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing the evolution of connected and intelligent transport systems.
